Don’t feel skilled enough to use Photoshop? Or perhaps you can’t afford it? Maybe you are able to use the basic functions of Photoshop, but have no clue about the advanced functions? If this sounds like you, then Picasa would be a good fit. Why? Because Picasa is a free photo-editing program by Google. It has easy-to-use functions, and doesn’t get too technical. In this section, you will find instructions on how to download, setup, and use Picasa. It is free to download, and because it is from Google, very trustworthy.

This tutorial is for anyone who isn’t 100% computer savvy, and who is interested in photo editing but gets intimidated by Photoshop. It is an important tutorial if you are interested in Picasa because I am already familiar with it, so I help guide you through it. Without this tutorial, someone may not realize the full potential of Picasa. What I want you to learn in this tutorial is mostly just confidence with Picasa. But to get to that point, you need to learn how to download it, open it, and how to use each function within it. You will learn these things if you follow my tutorial. The only things you need are a computer and the internet.

I was using Pisaca to enhance my digital photos, and my mom saw me and became interested. Within ten minutes I had taught her everything and she was using Picasa to enhance her own photos. So believe me, if my mom can do this, anyone can!
